What is Novamid® ID 1030 CF10 filament?
Novamid ® ID1030 CF10 is a new carbon fiber filled polyamide 6/66 that prints durable structural parts with high dimensional stability, warpage free. The PA6/66 copolymer filament incorporates actual carbon fibers, rather than the commonly used powder-like carbon, which results in stronger, stiffer and tougher parts with higher tensile strength and modulus.
3D printing with Novamid ® ID 1030 CF10 leads to extreme fiber orientation in the flow direction, creating anisotropy in mechanical properties. This can be used to create directional strength in areas of components where needed. The new grade’s fiber has an average length of around 0.2 mm, with the distribution curve extending to over 1 mm. This is very important in imparting high strength, stiffness and toughness.
With its excellent mechanical properties and smooth appearance, it is well-suited for 3D-printing demanding automotive structural applications that require robust performance at elevated temperatures.
